The international EELRIC consortium has met for the 4th EELRIC workshop on October 7 in Berlin (Germany).
The 4th EELRIC workshop was organized in Berlin, co-located with the Aquaculture Europe congress and preceding the EAS thematic eel group meeting. During this meeting an update of EELRIC activities was presented and the partners that were present pitched their running projects, fundings and research progress, and new leads were discussed.

EELRIC partners who attended the Berlin workshop representing Wageningen University & Research (NL), Glasaal Volendam (NL), Polytechnic University of Valencia (ES), University of Bologna (IT), Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (FR), Technical University of Denmark (DK), Thünen Institute of Fisheries Ecology (DE), Szent Istvan University (HU), University of Otago (NZ) and NZ Premium Whitebait Ltd (NZ). Prof Tsukamoto (University of Tokyo) presented the astonishing research progress in Japan. We finished the ‘eel day’ with a nice dinner.
